A comedic absurdist play about a psychologist who loses his grip on reality at Habima Theatre in Tel Aviv. The play deals with anxiety, identity, and chaos.
Anxieties, fits of rage, and a fear of robots. Psychologist Reuven Klein suffers from memory lapses that interfere with his ability to concentrate on his work. He begins to lose his grip on reality and can no longer distinguish between his three anxious patients: a woman suffering from panic attacks, her partner who works nonstop on a Japanese robot, and the new neighbor who has entered their lives and is convinced that people are breaking into her apartment.
His reality and that of his patients become mixed up and distorted, and chaos takes over. Dr. Klein must now navigate a maze of confusion in order to preserve his identity as a psychologist; if he fails, he may endanger the fragile lives of his patients. Dr. Klein begins to lose his grip on reality and cannot distinguish between his patients. His reality and that of his patients become mixed up and distorted, and chaos takes over. Everything becomes more difficult when all three patients are onstage at the same time and he does not quite know who is saying what. This is the new play by playwright Roi Maliah Reshef. The play is influenced by chaos theory, solar mechanics, and the world of the novelist Haruki Murakami. It holds up a mirror to the human vulnerability and inner anxiety within us all. Come dive into the wild world of psychological therapy.
This production is the opening shot and the first production of the “Pantheon” production house, which aims to promote new and challenging writing and place the play and actors at center stage.
