A play by Hanokh Levin directed by Moria Zarchia, presented at the Habima Theatre in Tel Aviv. Featuring Lillian Barto, Ido Mosseri, and Uri Hochman.
Hanokh Levin’s masterpiece takes the stage: They talk and talk, regret the lives they have missed, weave dreams—but as before, they know how to take and do not know how to give. There is no wedding, no love, nothing. And another opportunity will not come.

Yohanan Tsingervai, a bachelor thirsty for love, enters Bella Barlo’s pharmacy to buy rubber contraceptives. Bella is a single woman thirsty for love. In an awkward conversation, Samuel Sproll enters, having inherited ten thousand condoms from his father and trying to get rid of them and turn them into money. He offers Yohanan Tsingervai a discount. Bella Barlo offers him love. He chooses love. Later that evening, at Bella’s home, the love does not come to fruition. Bella is soft when it comes to romance, hard in negotiations, and they part ways.
Twenty years pass. Yohanan Tsingervai, an old bachelor still thirsty for love, enters Bella Barlo’s old pharmacy to buy rubber contraceptives. Bella is an old single woman, still thirsty for love. When Samuel Sproll enters, an old bachelor still trying to get rid of the stock of cracked rubber goods in his possession, the encounters of the past repeat themselves. They talk and talk, regret the lives they have missed, weave dreams—but as before, they know how to take and do not know how to give. There is no wedding, no love, nothing. And another opportunity will not come.
“What do you have to offer a woman, anyway? You were a man with a certain charm, right, but not a professor, not an academic, no psychological depth, just a loafer—and now, because of the diabetes, almost blind and on the verge of impotence, as we established only a few minutes ago.”
