We invite you to a staged reading of Kapitalina Spektor’s play “The Neighborhood Store”

A story about a familiar courtyard, chance encounters, and people who become part of one another’s lives—sometimes for years, and sometimes for just a few minutes.

Here, people fall in love and quarrel, make mistakes and forgive one another, talk about important things and discuss completely everyday matters. And the little neighborhood store remains a silent witness to everything that happens.

“The Neighborhood Store” is a courtyard drama about people who come and go, while the sun rises once again over the familiar courtyard.

Come listen to this story with us. Perhaps in one of its characters you will recognize a neighbor, an old acquaintance, or a little of yourself.

A staged reading is not a full production, but a reading of the text with actors performing the roles.

It will be interesting, heartfelt, and cozy.
