Open conversation with economic journalist Tslil Avraham on the impacts of political decisions on the cost of living and our daily lives. We will discuss questions about the rising cost of living, defense expenses, and how distant decisions affect us all.
What Does it Matter? Democracy 2026 >> Democracy Month by the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality Youth Unit in collaboration with Centers for Social Justice. In each event, we will try to answer the question "What Does it Matter?" from a different perspective through games, courses, pop-up evenings, political imagination, lectures, and workshops.

You don't have to be a big expert in politics for it to affect you.
It's already in your rent, the price of milk at the supermarket, your salary, in the reserves, and in public transport.
True, we may not be able to control the entire economy, but understanding what really affects our pockets and who the decision-makers are will feel less chaotic.
In an open conversation with economic journalist Tzlil Avraham ("Kan", Pocket Creatures), we'll try to sort out the questions we all ask: Why does the cost of living continue to rise? What is the impact of more money going to the country's security? What's the connection between the labor market and the enlistment of ultra-Orthodox Jews? We'll try to understand together how decisions made far from us shape the daily lives of all of us.
