An experiential, fun, and humorous evening centered around democracy, accompanied by beer and prizes. Participants will be divided into two groups and will tackle questions and tasks. By the end of the evening, there will be a clearer understanding of how the democratic system works and what is important in elections.
Every day we make choices. This choice is no different, it just affects more things.
So how do elections really work? How is a government formed? What political myths do we all know and how is all of this related to housing, the cost of living, transportation, and our daily lives?
We invite you to a fun and surprising group election trivia event hosted by Gil Rabi. We'll split into two groups, tackle questions and tasks together, debunk some myths, and bring some clarity to the political system and how its decisions impact our daily lives.
No need to follow the news, remember politicians' names, or come with prior knowledge. The knowledge is collective, and everyone participates. By the end of the evening, we may not have answers to all the questions, but we will have a better understanding of how the system works, what matters to us, and how to make an informed choice.
The event is intended for young people in their 20s and 30s. The number of places is limited, and participation is by prior registration.
"What Does It Matter? Democracy 2026" >> The Democracy Month of the Youth Unit of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality in collaboration with Centers for Social Justice. In July and August, events that connect democracy with real life will be held throughout the city. In each event, we will try to answer the question "What does it matter?" from a different angle through trivia, courses, pop-up evenings, political imagination, lectures, and workshops.
