Cosmic Seeds – Small-Scale Sculpture from the Future

A pop-up art workshop inspired by the work of Barney Fink, from the exhibition Movement: Kibbutz in Israeli Art.

In a special family workshop, we will create a gray clay dish containing “cosmic seeds”—small objects that look as though they arrived from an ancient world or a distant planet. We will sculpt and carve organic forms inspired by seeds, shells, seashells, and corals, using delicate carving techniques and surprising tools.

Through playing with textures, engravings, and shapes, we will discover how a simple material can become a mysterious object filled with imagination. At the end, you will take home a small set of sculpted seeds and a personal vessel for displaying them.

A joint activity for parents and children, in which each participant will choose one work of art from the museum display and create something together inspired by it.

• Duration: Approximately one hour
• For: Children ages 6 and up and their parents
• Ticket price: 45 NIS per child and 15 NIS per adult
• All participants must have a ticket
• The ticket includes same-day admission to the museum
