The temperature at which a book's paper ignites and catches fire is 451 degrees Fahrenheit. In Ray Bradbury's futuristic world, the role of firefighters is not to extinguish fires but to burn books and prevent people from thinking.
In this lecture, we will examine how a book written in the 1950s predicted the era of social networks, TikTok, and Instagram with amazing accuracy. We will ask together: Are we losing the ability to concentrate, and how does reading become an act of rebellion in our times?
