Sunrise tour at the summit of Masada with a cable car to watch the sunrise from the top of Masada. After the sunrise, visitors can explore and enjoy the views of the desert mountains. The Masada Challenge is also available with first light – an adrenaline-filled trail to discover the secrets of Masada.
After generations of hikers catching their breath on the climb to the ultimate sunrise at the peak of Masada, we are excited to launch the "Cable Car to Sunrise" / "Sunrise for All"!
You are invited to hop on the cable car straight to the most mesmerizing show in the Judean Desert: the sunrise. Naturally, this experience suits everyone.
And after the sunrise? It's time to enjoy the relatively cool morning hours – hike while facing ancient landscapes, discover the secrets of the mountain that became a symbol, take the perfect selfie, or even find a quiet spot facing the vast desert and delve into meditation.

Please note: The ascent by cable car is from Masada East – Dead Sea side. The activity is not suitable for those staying at the Masada West night campground. Attendance is only upon prior reservation and payment.
