Living Language | On Hebrew and Other Animals

Together we will discover what Hebrew tells us about the world of animals and what animals tell us about humans. The program includes the story of Hebrew in the animal world, its impact on us, and a visit with arthropods. The activity is suitable for children aged 6–12 and includes an experiential tour of the center.
Together, we will discover what Hebrew tells us about the animal kingdom and what animals reveal about us, humans.
**What's in the program?**
- **Cow, Cat, and Kingfisher**: The story of Hebrew and how it is expressed in the animal world. An experiential guided activity at the Academy's Culture and Instruction Center. Reading knowledge is required.
- **Small Big Animals**: A face-to-face encounter with arthropods (yes, with the animals themselves!) small but with a big role, helping to preserve the biological diversity and nature for all of us. Guided by a zoo instructor.
The center features displays such as Ben-Yehuda's desk, the lexicon of the famous lexicographer Even-Shoshan, a hundred-year-old children's poetry book, and more.
The activity is suitable for young children (accompanied by an adult) aged 6–12.
**Duration of the activity**: Approximately an hour and a half to two hours.
**When?** The activity takes place during the first two weeks of August, on Sundays and Tuesdays.
