In the workshop, we will explore the world of Henri Matisse and the paper cutout technique he developed in his later years. We will engage in cutting and pasting colorful papers to create a personal work on a free theme: nature, still life, portrait, or abstract image. No prior experience is needed, just a desire to create and explore.
About the instructor: Shahar Lebovitz is an artist, illustrator, and curator, a graduate of Bezalel. Her work focuses on the connection between observation, material, and the creative process. She leads workshops that combine familiarity with art alongside personal and experiential experimentation.
