The well-known story about an old father who bequeathed his inheritance to his three children, giving the youngest a cat that became clever and powerful with the help of magic boots, becomes a tale set in 18th-century Spain—a colorful, folksy Spain full of magic.
The story unfolds simultaneously in a Gypsy village and a palace, combining musical flavors with a variety of dance styles. The blend of the specially adapted legend, authentic music, and Spain’s rich dance traditions brings children the scents and flavors of another era in a sweeping and moving adventure story.
