A comedic play about four roommates at Tzavta Theater in Tel Aviv. The work portrays an intense day in which the bills, fears, and relationships are laid bare.
Drunken Comedy by Theresa Rebeck: Four roommates in their early 30s find themselves in an intense sequence unfolding over a single day, during which, instead of coffee, a bottle of whiskey is opened on the table. A complex, funny, and painful portrait of women trying to navigate their way through the world, discovering that sometimes, in order to find the truth, you first have to get lost together.
Four roommates in their early 30s find themselves in an intense sequence unfolding over a single day, from morning to night, in which all their defense mechanisms collapse. As the glasses empty, the bills are opened, and they confront their relationships, their deepest fears, the endless expectation to “get their lives on track,” and the desperate attempt to understand how the hell to navigate this world without an instruction manual. Whiskey on the Morning by Theresa Rebeck is a sharp, human comedy that brings to the stage a complex, funny, and painful portrait of women trying to navigate their way through the world, discovering that sometimes, in order to find the truth, you first have to get lost together.
