A romantic comedy about Noa, who is trying to get rid of her ex. At Tzavta Theater, 30 Even Gvirol Street, Tel Aviv.
A wacky romantic comedy about the “tumor” we all have. Noa, an insecure single woman, thought she had gotten over her ex Boaz long ago, but it turns out he still weighs on her heart. The only way to remove the tumor and find love is to kill him—with a gun and everything.
Noa was sure she had gotten over Boaz, but it turns out he is still there—weighing on her heart—and the only way to remove the tumor and find love is to kill him. The plot thickens when her deranged psychologist enters the picture, carrying a tumor of her own; a neurotic guy named Ami who goes everywhere with his pet tank; and a medical catalyst named Rufus, who looks exactly like Boaz. Now Noa has to choose: stay with the tumor and end her life as a lonely old woman with 20 cats, whose body will only be found because of the smell—or kill Boaz and try to find love.

“The new hit from Tzavta that threatens to become the next cult phenomenon—or, in simple Hebrew, the new Michael. Ninety minutes of stage anarchy, laughs and madness fly by, with ’80s songs in one-of-a-kind performances and a general sensory high. A Tumor Named Boaz is psychedelic, colorful, sexy and frenetic.”
Yaron Fried, Globes
“’80s love songs, a special vibe and surprising ideas turn A Tumor Named Boaz into an engaging, witty, contemporary and Tel Avivian theatrical event, while remaining so human.”
Yael Shuv, Time Out
“An excellent play. Funny (to tears), moving, and all the small nuances of the modern dating world, as well as the characters’ inner struggles, are expressed in it precisely. It has plot twists, direct and unpretentious language, and clear messages. In short, a theatrical treat.”
Mia Agassi, Walla
