Kazablan

Kazablan falls in love with the daughter of the head of the housing complex, an immigrant from Poland who strongly opposes the relationship between his daughter and Kazablan because of Kazablan’s image as an uncultured man.
The play examines issues concerning Israeli society’s psyche, including the ethnic rift in Israel, Ashkenazi–Mizrahi relations, interethnic marriage, acceptance of others and those who are different, cultural and social gaps, social protest, and more.
There is double casting.

The musical Kazablan is based on the original play by Yigal Mossinzon and Yoel Zilberg, which was staged at the Cameri in 1954.
The musical’s first production was staged in 1966, directed by Yoel Zilberg.
