A theatrical production by Hanoch Levin at the Cameri Theatre, Tel Aviv. The plot deals with death, loneliness, and the search for solace.
Somewhere, at the edge of a great land, in a remote village, two old people—a husband and wife—lived. They fell ill and died, mourning their lives. A young mother, with her infant son dying in her arms, walked through the fields searching for a cure for him. Shortly afterward, he died. A coachman who had lost his son drove drunkards and prostitutes in his carriage, with no one to whom he could pour out his heart. The drunkards and prostitutes pursued happiness. Cherubs who happened to pass by as well gathered the souls of the dead.
