Saturn Club: Jazz at Felicia

The fourth evening in Felicia’s new jazz series, presented in a refreshing and innovative format. This time: a DJ set by Guy Dubious, Shai Hazan with his new project DAWA, a master class, the Itai Raייטן Quartet, and, of course, Saturn Jam led by Assaf Shachori and his band!

Saturn Club | Free Jazz and Creative Music

DAWA is the new project of bassist, composer, and gimbri player Shai Hazan—a group bringing together contemporary jazz, musical traditions from North and West Africa, ambient music, minimalism, and free improvisation. At the heart of DAWA’s sound are cyclical grooves, acoustic loops, polyrhythms, and ensemble playing based on real-time listening. The group’s name, DAWA (“medicine” in Arabic), expresses the worldview behind the creation: music as a space for listening, concentration, and human connection.

Shai Hazan — gimbri and compositions
Eyal Netzer — tenor saxophone
Itai Reiten — baritone saxophone
