A lecture about the late Sebastian “Sabi” Ayon, on Monday from 10:30–11:30 at Bavli Community Center, Tel Aviv. Admission: 20 NIS in cash.
Sebastian “Sebi” Ayon, of blessed memory, immigrated to Israel in 1988. He was one of the founders of the Counter-Terrorism Unit, a combat soldier and reservist, and was killed in an incident at Shifa Hospital in Gaza during the “Iron Swords” War, when he prevented terrorists from escaping.
Sebi was a man filled with love for the country, the land, the sea, and everyone around him. He was a prankster who enjoyed every moment and was always happy to help.
About the speakers: Cynthia Ayon Rosenfeld and Ruth Ayon, Sebastian Ayon’s sister and mother, of blessed memory, residents of the north who were evacuated at the time of Sebastian’s death, will come to speak about him, coping with grief while evacuated, and commemorating him.
The Veterans’ Parliament consists of recreational and cultural gatherings for people aged 60 and over, held at the Bavli Community Center, 18 Yerushalmi Street, every Monday from 10:30–11:30.
During the activity year, we will hold additional events: community singing, various workshops, holiday and special-occasion events, and more.
Admission: 20 NIS in cash.
