A play about Luna, the daughter of a Sephardic Jerusalem family, and her love for David, who is Ashkenazi. The play will take place at Beit Lessin Theatre, 44 Frishman Street, Tel Aviv.
An exciting stage adaptation of the best-selling book in Israel in recent years, which was also adapted into a successful television series. Luna is the “Beauty Queen of Jerusalem,” a daughter of a Sephardic Jerusalem family with generations of roots in the city. When she falls in love with David, an Ashkenazi man who has returned from military service, she marries him despite her mother’s and grandmother’s opposition, and comes to her senses when she discovers that the truths of life are far removed from youthful fantasies—and that love has many surprising faces.
Featuring: Daniel Gal/Carmel Bein, Yoram Toledano, Keren Tzur, Dina Blay, Mai Keshet, Asaf Yunash, Or Abutbul/Tom Hagi, Nir Karni, Mike Elishkov, Shaked Kanovich.
