The Lumina Trio will perform soundtracks from well-known films such as "Interstellar," "Oppenheimer," and "Amelie" on the roof of an ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa. The evening will take place outdoors among hundreds of candles with a view of the sea and the sunset sky. The program features works by Hans Zimmer, Yann Tiersen, and Ludovico Einaudi.
The solemnity of Hans Zimmer’s music, the tenderness of Yann Tiersen, and the emotional depth of Ludovico Einaudi will converge on the stage of an ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa.
Their music has long transcended cinema to become the soundtrack of our lives. It accompanies the most important moments, inspires, stirs emotion, and stays with us for years.
Masterpieces by the greatest contemporary composers will be performed by Lumina Trio on the rooftop of the historic monastery right by the sea, surrounded by hundreds of candles.
The program features soundtracks from films such as Interstellar, The Intouchables (1+1), Amélie, Oppenheimer, and many others.
The gentle sound of the violin and the cries of seagulls will merge into one extraordinary evening. Imagine how the music from Interstellar sounds not in a concert hall, but under real stars—over the sea, against a sunset sky and the lights of the evening city. As if it is born not on a stage, but somewhere between the sea and the sky.
There is music that needs no introduction. It takes us back to beloved films, their characters, emotions, and moments that have stayed with us forever.
It is exactly this kind of evening that Lumina Trio will offer on the rooftop of the ancient monastery, where hundreds of candles illuminate the old walls, the warm sea breeze accompanies "Una Mattina," and an endless sky unfolds overhead.
But at some point, everything else will disappear. The ancient monastery, the noise of the waves, the flickering of hundreds of candles.
Only you and the music from your favorite films will remain. Touching, sincere, filling all the space around. And staying with you long after the candles are extinguished.
Performers:
Lumina Trio
• Ilya Vulf (violin)
• Monika Broszko (piano)
• Igor Tankewicz (cello)
Please note: The concert takes place in an open-air venue within the territory of an ancient monastery by the sea. It can get cool by the sea in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light shawl or something warm in case of chilly weather.
Also, please note that there is no bar or café on the monastery premises.
Entry to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City.
See you among the candles, music, and evening sea!
