Jaffa Tavern by the Sea - Cultural Performance Series
A series of cultural events by the sea inspired by the stories, people, and music of Jaffa at the Port of Jaffa. The performances showcase different perspectives of Jaffa, as a place of fishermen, sailors, and poets. Each event brings together tradition and contemporary Israeli music and hosts various artists for live performances.

Jaffa Port invites you to a series of cultural performances by the sea, inspired by the stories, people, and music of Jaffa. On the main deck with the backdrop of docked boats, sunsets, and pleasant summer breezes, poets, musicians, actors, and writers will revive legendary characters, sea songs, tavern tales, and texts born out of longing, wanderlust, and love for the place.
Each performance presents a different perspective of Jaffa – a city of fishermen, sailors, poets, and musicians, connecting local tradition to contemporary Israeli creation.

Event Schedule:
- **June 22** | "Jaffa Images" based on the books of Menachem Talmi. Stories of Bracha Ambulance, Chaim Wound, Angel the Beautiful, Elimelech Kukuriku, and Sami the Sneezing... A band and colorful Jaffa characters will turn into the stars of the tavern on the main deck. Featuring: Yaniv Swisa, Dikla Hadar, Ido Mosseri, Shimon Mimran, Shahar Bork, Eliyahu Ben Shoshan, Ziv Harpaz, Lior Perla.
- **July 6** | "The Sailor's Beloved - Songs of Women Waiting" in a musical evening dedicated to "The Sailor's Beloved." Noa Manheim will host some of the central figures and stories in the culture of "women waiting." Music by strong women who are no longer waiting: Sivan Talmor, Daniel Rubin, Noga Friedman, Vered Picker, Karni Postal, Galia Hai, Keren Tennenbaum, Noa Segal, and Shula Chen.
- **July 20** | "Zip Pip Above the Pier" a poetry celebration with Hadar Levi and Dudu Erez, the band "Wave Breakers" and "Singing in the Neighborhood."
- **August 3** | "And Tomorrow the Wave Will Carry Me" Roni Somek hosts an evening full of words and wine. Featuring Uli Dannon, Ohad Ben Avi, Natan Slor, Idan Toledano, Yaron Motola, Anna Spits.
- **August 10** | "Little Girl on the Pier" a love celebration for the greatest of all, Ahova Ozeri, with Yehuda Keisar, Yair Zabar, and Maya Avraham. Ahova's band: Shaul Besser, Ron Bonker, Gilad Dobratzky, Itay Nitsan, Adi Har Zvi, Michael Meital.
- **August 17** | "If I Were a Pirate" Hanan Yuval in a tribute evening to the Whistling Gypsy Club. Tomer Kriv and Yeshiv Cohen along with the ensemble "Eretz Ir" (Mia Johanna, Gili Meir, and Yoav Rosenthal) will take us back to the wooden inn of the 70s and the legendary Channel 1 show hosted by the immortal Dan Almagor.
A chilled glass of wine is guaranteed for those who register on the site for the event and confirm the port's mailing list.
