Summer air filled with the aroma of the Mediterranean Sea. Soft candlelight. The terrace of an ancient Armenian monastery overlooking the coastline. And jazz. Real, live, sincere.
On this evening, we invite you to be transported to nocturnal New York — the city where the magic of jazz was born. Where Times Square's lights glow in the dusk, where the velvet voices echo in Harlem's clubs:
"What a wonderful world..."
At sunset, the monastery walls will be filled with the music of the greats: Sinatra. Fitzgerald. Armstrong. Charles.
The voice of this journey will be Sofa Chudnovskaya — a jazz singer and actress with a vast creative biography, including the St. Petersburg school, Netflix, musicals, and the main stages of Israel.
This is not just a concert. This is an evening-ghost of New York, written into the contours of the monastery's arches and bathed in sunset gold.

Performers:
Sofa Chudnovskaya — jazz singer, multi-instrumentalist, dubbing actress (Netflix), vocal coach, soloist of the Haifa Big Band, resident of the Gig House Club. Formerly — soloist of the St. Petersburg orchestras and head of the pop department at the Elena Obraztsova Music Academy.
Gonen Rosenberg — drummer and percussionist, graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem. For over 27 years, he was the leading timpanist and percussionist of the Israel Chamber Orchestra, performing on major stages in Europe, North and South America, and the Far East. A student of the legendary jazz drummer Michael Carvin (New York), he participates in international jazz and classical festivals.
Sergey Nikityuk — virtuoso pianist, and laureate of international competitions. Founder of Sergiy Nikityuk & Jazz Do It, accompanist and teacher at the Municipal Conservatory of Hadera, author of the album 88 Piano Keys.
Valery Rovinsky — bassist, double bassist, and Chapman Stick player. Over 30 years of career in St. Petersburg, he collaborated with more than a hundred ensembles, performed at the largest festivals, and was a laureate of the international competition "Tchaikovsky in Jazz". Since 2022, he has been living in Israel, actively participating in concert and studio projects.
Note: The concert is held in an open area on the territory of the ancient monastery by the sea. It can be cool by the sea in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or something warm in case of chilly weather.
Also, please note that there are no bars or cafes on the monastery grounds.
Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade, not through the Old City.
