The Summer Vacation: Family Summer Tours at the Bialik House Museum.
Where does freedom live? In the imagination? In language? In the ability to create our own world? In our summer family tours, we'll aim to answer exactly these questions.
We will play with words that have taken themselves free and perhaps even gone a bit too far, discovering what the boundaries of language once were and whether we can break them today. We'll read poems that set freedom as a source of inspiration, and we'll ask how freedom appears in poetry, what it includes, and to whom it is given. We'll wander through the museum's spaces and discover objects and places where freedom appears in small and surprising ways.
Together with our parents, we'll engage in collaborative writing that opens our gaze to unexpected and spirited realms.
