The Horesh Center for Early Childhood invites you to a 5-session workshop to specialize in infant massage for ages 6 weeks up to crawling. The workshop includes learning the importance of touch and massage, ways to alleviate pain, and the use of recommended oils. Each session takes place on Wednesdays from 09:00-09:45.
A five-session workshop, each session lasting 45 minutes, held on Wednesdays from 9:00 to 9:45 AM.
The workshop is intended for infants aged one and a half months up to crawling. It is an intimate and experiential workshop designed for up to 8 pairs of parents and infants.
During the workshop, we will gradually learn different massage movements:
- 08.05 - First session: Introduction, theoretical knowledge about the importance of touch and massage, foot massage.
- 08.12 - Second session: Belly massage, ways to ease and cope with colic, stomach aches, etc.
- 08.19 - Third session: Hand and chest massage.
- 08.26 - Fourth session: Back massage, the importance of lying on the tummy.
- 09.02 - Fifth session: Head and face massage, review of the complete massage sequence, and summary of the workshop.
Throughout the sessions, we will discuss the importance and benefits of massage, its contribution to the health and development of infants. We will talk about the best times to massage, recommended oils, and safety guidelines during massage performance. Each session will include a review of the massage sequence learned so far to enhance proficiency. The beginning and end of each session will be dedicated to a round of discussion and sharing, emphasizing a supportive, pleasant, and inclusive atmosphere.
The workshop is led by Shaher Erlich, an occupational therapist and certified infant massage instructor.
