A literary and musical performance at the Jaffa Port featuring artists such as Roni Somek, Anna Spitz, and Natan Slor. The event takes place on the central deck facing the sea, inspired by the music and stories of Jaffa.
Since ancient times, sailors have been linked to wine, poetry, and stories. Between the docks and taverns, between voyages and returning home, songs were born about love, longing, distances, and yearning. Hebrew poets also skillfully captured this world in words that remain with us to this day. Sea and port songs, seafarers, taverns, distances, and longing from the poems of Alexander Penn, Nathan Alterman, Avraham Halfi, and others…

The Jaffa Port invites you to a series of cultural performances by the sea, inspired by the stories, people, and music of Jaffa. On the central deck, against the backdrop of anchored boats, the sunset, and in the ambiance of a pleasant summer breeze, poets, musicians, actors, and writers will present mythical characters, sea songs, tavern stories, and texts born from longing, wandering, and love for the place. Each performance presents a different perspective of Jaffa - a city of fishermen, sailors, poets, and musicians, connecting between local tradition and contemporary Israeli creation.
