From Adoption to Stardom: An Experiential Meeting with Simba

Magid Library invites you to an experiential event in honor of International Dog Day with Nitzan Brown and the dog Simba. Meet Simba and participate in a creative activity themed around dogs. Hear Simba's story, read from the book, and learn about love for animals, friendship, and adoption.
Come meet Simba, a rescue dog who was abandoned twice and became a star in the children's book "Welcome to Gan Yechezkel" and a neighborhood celebrity.
In this experiential meeting, we'll hear Simba's story, read excerpts from the book, meet real neighborhood dogs featured in it, learn about love for animals, friendship, adoption, and acceptance of others, and participate in a fun, dog-themed craft activity.
The book was written by Nitzan Brown, a neighborhood resident and a long-time volunteer for animal welfare. The dogs in the book are based on real dogs and were designed as characters using AI technology. Part of the book's proceeds is donated to an organization that helps dogs find a warm home.
The event will take place on Monday, August 3rd, at 17:00, at the Magid Community Center.
Suitable for ages 3–7
Cost: 35 NIS per child + one accompanying adult only.
