A lecture for parents of infants aged from birth to 8 months about proper sleep for babies. It includes important points such as the importance of learning during awake hours and the impact of development on sleep. The lecture will be led by Michal Shotland, a baby development instructor and sleep difficulties therapist.
Who hasn't recently dealt with their baby's sleep issues?
Here are some interesting facts about baby sleep:
- Sleep and falling asleep skills are mainly acquired during wakeful periods.
- There's a connection between each baby's personal developmental status and their sleep condition.
- Most babies can fall asleep on their own (or almost on their own), pleasantly, long before the age of 5 months, actually even from the start.
- A baby who does not know how to rest during wakeful periods is likely to have some difficulty with sleep.
- The goal is not to 'put the baby to sleep' but to allow them to fall asleep - there's a significant difference between the two...
All this and more in a lecture to be held at the Butterflies Center in the port.
