Self-guided tour of the British waterworks at Yarkon National Park – Tel Afek, in October. Includes entry to the Mandate-era water reservoir; registration is required on Mondays and Wednesdays.
We invite you to independently experience the full route through the Mandate-era waterworks, including entry to the enormous water reservoir that was kept secret underground for many years.
The waterworks were built by the British in the 1930s to bring water from the Yarkon Springs to thirsty Jerusalem.
The structures stood for years at the center of the national park, and over the past two years, work was carried out to prepare a walking route between the facilities and tell their fascinating story.
When: In October, the exhibit will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00.
On Fridays and Saturdays (no registration required), at 11:00 and 13:00.
