An evening dedicated to the works of composer Vladimir Brailovsky in Petah Tikva. The program includes academic compositions, including his First Symphony, as well as songs for the VIA groups Verasy and Syabry. Local musicians will participate in the evening.
The breadth of his catalog explains why the evening’s program turned out to be so diverse. On the one hand, there are academic scores, including the First Symphony performed by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, as well as compositions written for the Moscow Virtuosi ensemble. On the other, there is the realm of popular song: works for the VIA Verasy and Syabry, voices that, for several generations of listeners, provided the soundtrack to an entire era.
Today, Brailovsky lives in Israel and continues to work. He regularly organizes Israeli author evenings featuring local musicians, and each one attracts its own audience: immigrants who know these names without explanation, and younger people drawn by the intimate sound.
