Second Day of Sukkot in the Galilee
A three-day family vacation in the Lower Galilee, October 1–3, 2026, with nature trails, springs, a night safari, and activities for the whole family.

About the activity
You are invited to enjoy a family vacation in the heart of the Lower Galilee, combining the region’s finest experiences—spectacular nature trails, refreshing springs, impressive scenic overlooks, an encounter with Druze culture, and special evening activities for the whole family. Between the Horns of Hattin, Nahal Tzalmon, and Ein Nun, we will enjoy three days of nature, scenery, and quality time together in a pleasant Galilean atmosphere.
Thursday | October 1, 2026
Between peaks, heritage, and Galilean nature
12:00 – Meeting at Nabi Shu’ayb, leaving vehicles there, and setting out on the Horns of Hattin trail.
13:00–15:00 – Hike on the Horns of Hattin trail—open Galilean landscapes, expansive views, and an area rich in history and nature, ending at Nabi Shu’ayb.
15:30 – Tour of the tomb complex and introduction to the story of the Druze community and local tradition.
Later, we will arrive at the Five Springs in Shadmot Dvora—a short stop to refresh ourselves in Galilean nature.
18:00 – Arrival at Alon Tavor Field School, room check-in, and settling in.
19:00 – Dinner.
20:00 – Night safari in the Beit Keshet Hills, an evening activity in the Galilee’s open landscape.
Friday | October 2, 2026
A day of water, nature, and Galilean scenery
07:30 – Breakfast and collection of a packed lunch.
09:30 – Departure for a day of hiking in the renewed Nahal Tzalmon and Ein Nun, a pleasant Galilean route combining flowing water, easy walking, natural vegetation, and refreshing spots at the springs.
17:00 – Return to the field school and rest time.
19:00 – Dinner.
20:00 – ODT activity on the field school’s lawns, an enjoyable and experiential activity for the whole family in an evening atmosphere.
Saturday | October 3, 2026
Concluding the weekend in the Galilee
08:00–09:00 – Breakfast.
09:00–10:00 – Advice on trails in the Galilee and valleys area, provided by Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel guides.
10:00 – Return of keys and check-out.
Please note: payment for a room is required for a minimum of two adults.
The vacation includes full-board accommodation at the field school:
- Air-conditioned ground-level guest rooms, each with a shower and toilet
- A secure protected space on the premises
- A kosher kitchen and dining room
- A lounge with a coffee/tea corner and television
- A synagogue
- Full board including Thursday dinner; Friday breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner; and Saturday breakfast

The activity will take place subject to a minimum number of registrants. Notice will be given up to one week before the activity.
