My Aunt from HaNeviim Street

Additional details inspired by the writings and songs of Yehoram Taharlev: The three siblings, Yirmiyahu, Eliyahu, and little Dvora, arrive at their aunt from Nevi'im Street, whom they do not remember or know, to be taken care of while their parents travel for a few days. The aunt lives alone in a slightly odd house. The siblings are afraid of the aunt and even think she is very strange and might cast spells on them. They don't want to stay at her house and decide to do everything until the aunt contacts their parents to come and pick them up immediately. Slowly, the children discover that things are not what they seem and are drawn into their aunt's magical world, which teaches them in a special and imaginative way an important lesson about mutual respect, self-belief, and the importance of trying, even if they don't succeed! This is a play inspired by the beloved book of the author, poet, and lyricist Yehoram Taharlev, a recipient of the Minister's Prize, and is sprinkled with some of the children's songs he wrote, which are iconic in Israeli Jewish culture. Among the songs: "Give Me This Day," "Barbapapa," "The Green Hill Always," "Mr. Apchi," and more.
