We will travel to the United States of the 1950s, a period when McCarthyism was at its height, and focus on the story of the Jewish couple Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, who were accused of espionage and passing secrets from the atomic project to the Russians, and were executed. We will discuss the affair’s impact on and implications for American Jewry.
