Long before artists learned how to "grow from below" with very little media assistance, Itzik Kala had already become a huge symbol. Beyond being one of the pillars of Mizrahi music in Israel, Kala collaborated with the greatest and best, released dozens of albums, and brought us a long list of beloved, unforgettable classics. Through an amazing career spanning decades, Kala carved out for himself a nearly mythical status in Israeli music. As a true symbol of the city of Jerusalem and recipient of the City's Esteemed Person award, and as someone who, in our eyes, best represents the potential beauty of a creation originating from there, we are excited to host this living legend for a series of concerts that connect Kurdistan, Turkey, Greece, and Israel through melody.
