Free admission to Baron Menashe's garden

The Kfar Saba Museum will open the Baron Menashe Garden to the public every Tuesday.

As part of this new initiative, the Baron Menashe Garden will be open every Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 AM free of charge.

During these free days, visitors will be able to enjoy the unique urban natural setting and fascinating historical story of the Baron Menashe Garden.

Museum staff will be present during opening hours and can provide tours for visitors.

The Baron Menashe Garden is a historic cultural heritage site,

located in the heart of a garden farm purchased by Baron Felix de Menashe, one of the leaders of the Jewish community in Alexandria between the two world wars. In 1934, at the height of the activities and blessed collaboration between Baron Chaim Weizmann and other Zionist figures in Palestine, the Baron decided to purchase an estate in the Kfar Saba colony, build a house, and create a beautiful garden with trees imported from Europe and a productive orchard. Baron Menashe's villa was never built, but a house was built for Chaim Yoffe, who was appointed manager of the garden farm, along with his wife, Miriam, who tended the garden for four decades. Haganah and Palmach staff worked on the property and created the Slick Garden.

In 2018, the garden was transferred to the care and protection of the Kfar Saba Municipality. The garden is a cultural heritage site and a stop on Kfar Saba's "Path of the First."
