An exploratory workshop on insect-eating bats and the white-edged serotine in Kfar Saba, at Beit HaHayash. The activity includes a lecture, research, and nighttime observation, and lasts about two hours.
Are you curious about the world of bats and insects? Would you like to discover what a white-edged bat eats? Do you enjoy investigating and discovering things by yourselves? You are invited to the research workshop!
In the workshop, you will learn about the world of bats, especially insect-eating bats. You will investigate for yourselves what a white-edged bat eats, using a one-of-a-kind research kit that you will take home at the end of the activity. The kit includes a high-quality digital microscope, an information and instruction booklet, and real droppings from a white-edged bat.
The workshop takes place in Kfar Saba, at a home that serves as a foster home for insect-eating bat pups on behalf of the Wildlife Hospital.
