Writers and fighters Abraham Sutzkever, Shmerke Kaczerginski, and a group of creators known as the "Paper Brigade" risked their lives day after day to smuggle, rescue, and hide rare Jewish cultural treasures—manuscripts, works of art, books, and songs—before they vanished from the world.
