The school year begins, and the children of the Jerome family—Gull, Roby, Jane, and Wish—are heading to school. Gull surprises everyone with a huge success on a surprise test. He is declared the genius of the school and wins an invitation for a special visit to the castle of the famous inventor, Professor de Ville, on the condition that he brings his magic cat, Crammel. Roby and Jane discover this is a wicked plot that could endanger Crammel, a conspiracy involving their eternal enemy, Mrs. Bloom. The Jerome children set out for de Ville’s castle to save Crammel from the Professor’s grasp, not knowing what awaits them there...
