As part of a long-standing tradition, the Artists’ House welcomes new members to the Jerusalem Artists’ Association each year. In the exhibition opening the annual exhibition season, nine new artists who joined the association this year will be presented: Linda Adams (painting), Yulia Aronson (painting and sculpture), Aviva Green (painting), Yossi Debra (painting), Elkana Levy (painting), Marina Bat-El Levitan (painting), Orit Livneh (painting), Miriam Munk (painting), and Ami Raviv (sculpture and installation).
For all nine artists, painting serves as a driving force and a means of dynamic action on various surfaces (canvas, paper, board, or wall relief). Although no uniform conceptual connection can be identified, the encounter between the works evokes a biographical-personal spirit and raises questions about private and collective identity.
