An astronaut crew is sent to investigate the tail of Halley's Comet, where they discover a mysterious spacecraft containing three beautiful humanoid creatures. When brought to Earth, it turns out these are alien vampires feeding on the life force of their victims—unleashing a real hell upon the streets of London. What begins as classic sci-fi in the vein of the "Alien" series gradually transforms into an apocalyptic horror film featuring zombies, vampires, scandalous nudity, stunning effects, and dialogue that one simply has to forgive. Tobe Hooper ("The Texas Chain Saw Massacre") was given a huge budget and created one of the strangest, most ambitious, and enjoyable genre films of the 1980s. Oh, and there’s also an Israeli connection. Don’t miss it.
