The first film in the Indiana Jones series, introducing Indy, the thrilling archaeologist with the legendary hat, who gets tangled up in adventures spanning the globe.
Harrison Ford, as Dr. Indiana Jones, sets out in search of the lost Ark, which is believed to contain the original Tablets of the Covenant. At his side is his legendary ex-girlfriend (Karen Allen).
The great chase takes him from the jungles of South America through the mountains of Nepal to the deserts of North Africa, encountering plenty of nasty Nazis along the way.
The recipe is perfect: plenty of noise and spectacle, gripping filmmaking of the kind only Spielberg knows how to create, and Harrison Ford, who manages to imbue Jones with equal measures of irony and heroism.
