Lecture Series: Love Stories During the Holocaust – Naama Galil – 3.5.27
A glimpse into love stories that unfolded amid fragile living conditions, between ghetto walls, camp fences, and dense forests. These love stories expressed the profound human need for warmth, stability, and protection, and served as a source of hope for many in the face of evil. People fell in love in impossible places, and loving relationships were formed as a source of support, understanding, and sometimes protection. The longing and search for partnership, family, and parenthood continued even after the war, becoming a symbol of healing and a new beginning.
