A lecture by Tzvika Krochmal on the transition from covert to overt investigation, arrest, witnesses, and confession in the Dotan case. April 5, 2027.
Lecture Series: Secrets from the Interrogation Room – Part II: The Open Investigation – Tzvika Krochmal – 5 April 2027
The transition from covert to overt investigation is one of the dramatic stages of any investigation. After a brief review of the first part, we will be introduced to the overt stages of the investigation: the suspects’ arrest, the state’s witness who changed the direction of the investigation, the “riddle” that led to the treasure, the breaking points during the investigation, the confession and the trial, culminating in the surprising conclusion in the courtyard of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in New York. Through the Dotan affair, we will be exposed to the world of investigations and understand how a complex investigation file is built and managed, with each twist adding another piece to the puzzle.
