The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company returns to Yifat with a new work by choreographer Rami Be’er, which will have its world premiere in February 2027.
Following the tremendous success of his powerful work Human Voice, created during the Iron Swords War, and the new, widely discussed production of the masterpiece Mikreh Avot—an integral part of the canon of Israeli dance—the company returns to stir audiences with a new, relevant and bold work that speaks to its time and place.
“...Leave time alone; it is forbidden to touch, and one must not provoke it! Is there not enough space for you? Space was created for human beings. You may float through space as you please, leap, turn somersaults, jump from star to star—but in God’s name, do not touch time!...”
—Bruno Schulz, “The Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass,” in Cinnamon Shops / The Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass, translated from Polish by Miri Paz, The New Library, Sifrei Siman Kriah / Hakibbutz Hameuchad, 2018.
Rami Be’er, one of Israel’s leading choreographers and the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s artistic director, has created more than fifty dance works for the company, which have been performed on the world’s leading stages.
His groundbreaking work and the distinctive dance language he developed have placed the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company at the forefront of contemporary dance and made it a prominent ambassador for Israeli artistic creation.
