The well-known story about an old father who bequeathed his property to his three children, leaving the youngest a cat that became clever and strong with the help of magic boots, is transformed into a tale set in 18th-century Spain—a colorful, folkloric Spain filled with magic.
The plot unfolds simultaneously in a Gypsy village and a palace, combining diverse musical influences and dance styles. The combination of the fairy tale in a special adaptation, authentic music, and Spain’s rich dance traditions brings children the scents and flavors of another era in a sweeping and moving adventure story.
