The legend of Argentine tango — Marcos Ayala and the "Marcos Ayala Tango Company" in the dance show Tango Buenos Aires.
In the winter of 2027, we anticipate an exciting encounter with the Argentine king of tango Marcos Ayala and the best professional tango performers he brought together in his troupe "Marcos Ayala Tango Company" in the incredibly elegant and sensual dance show "Tango Buenos Aires."
This performance transports the audience to the "golden age of tango," creating an atmosphere of celebration of life characteristic of America's 1940s-50s, when music and dance embodied freedom and the search for a new identity. It is a vivid musical-choreographic journey through the era of swing, big bands, tango canyengue, and milonga. Men in tuxedos and polished shoes, women in high heels and flowing dresses draw complex, mesmerizing patterns on stage. Passionate music, elegant movements of dancers imbued with the spirit of tango, convey its sensuality and charisma to the audience. The luxurious costumes were individually crafted for each performance with characteristic, carefully thought-out details and accessories. Along with scenography and expressive lighting, they create a rich visual atmosphere and recognizable artistic style.
Marcos Ayala — world tango champion (Japan, 2006), director, choreographer, and dancer, one of the best tango performers in the world. After a major tour in the U.S. in 2015, Marcos Ayala received two Latin ACE Awards: one for his career and the other for the show "Tango Lovers," which was recognized as "Best Musical of the Year." Marcos Ayala participated in Cirque de Soleil's performances as an invited choreographer and was dubbed by critics as the "Tango Revelation" for his role in the musical "Chantecler Tango" (Argentina, 2012-2014 and France, 2013).
Marcos Ayala masterfully combines the traditional language of tango with contemporary artistic expression. The "Marcos Ayala Tango Company," created in Buenos Aires in 2012, originated from the desire to keep tango alive, open to development, in dialogue with other art forms and based on deeply personal perceptions. For Marcos Ayala, tango is not just a dance but a bridge that connects eras, cultures, and hearts.
