**HOME**
HOME was born in a turbulent period where the boundaries between the private home and the public space blur painfully. Through movement, modular costumes, and buildable and destructible elements that safeguard or restrict, the creation offers an intimate and poignant exploration of reality's impact on personal relationships – romantic, familial, and societal. In days when the home trembles and the chaos outside seeps in, HOME presents a space of questions: Are we falling apart because of external reality, or has the disintegration already occurred inside? Who holds onto whom – does the home hold the person, or does the person hold the home? The reality surrounding us, imposed on us all, echoes within ourselves – with loneliness, conflict, and a yearning for healing. The stage as a home, the garment as a prison, the body as an open space.
HOME emerges from a personal fracture and from there reaches out to a collective experience. The company was established in 2022 by the renowned and respected choreographer and creator Yaniv Hofman, who sought out a platform to express the burning social reality within him. Among other endeavors, he initiated social projects such as “Boys Dance Too,” established the WOMEN group which was part of the struggle against violence against women, and ran the show “Still Seeking,” about our entire generation’s relentless search.
‘Yaniv Hofman Dance Company’, with a cast of 8 dancers, continues its tour with the talked-about show "HOME," returning to the Suzanne Dellal stage once again. The show also travels to art galleries and alternative spaces and has received significant acclaim. Alongside HOME, the company continues to perform "Naked Truth," which has achieved great success and praise and is touring theaters across the country with Sold out performances. Yaniv refers to his works as "social dance." As such, he seeks to appeal to a wide and popular audience, taking them on an emotional and timely journey that can resonate with any viewer. Yaniv is also a member of the Israeli Choreographers Association.
