Milly is an imaginative and creative ant, a descendant of a long line of commander ants. When her older sister, Sharira, is accepted to the "Royal School for Outstanding Ants," Milly's family expects her to replace her sister as the commander of the worker ants. Milly wants more than anything to earn her family's pride, but she is unable to concentrate on the important work because stories constantly pop into her head, and there is no place for stories in the ant nest!
When Milly gets a chance to prove she is worthy of being a commander, she tries hard but gets swept away in her imagination, causing great damage to the nest. Desperate and sad, she decides to follow her sister and plead with the Ant Queen to accept her as well into the school, hoping that there she will learn how to be a responsible and diligent ant like all the other ants in the nest, without stories running through her head.
On her adventure-filled journey, Milly meets friends in distress. To each of them, she tells a wise fable that manages to fill them with strength, courage, determination, and self-belief. When Milly finally reaches her destination, she discovers that a large gecko is threatening the school. Everyone feels helpless until Milly decides to tell the gecko a story...
Will Milly succeed in driving away the gecko and saving the school? Will Milly become a commanding ant, or perhaps find a role that suits her better? From now on, will there be room for stories in the ant nest?
A delightful show with puppets and songs about the importance of imagination and stories that make life much more interesting and colorful. The show integrates the fables - the ant and the grasshopper, the rabbit and the tortoise, the crow and the swan, and the mouse and the lion.
