The story is based on the autobiography of the actress, taking the viewer deep into an exotic and magical world, into the life of her mother, singer Fayza Rushdi.
Fayza Rushdi was a renowned singer in Egypt who, despite her Jewish faith, achieved fame and popularity throughout the Arab world. With the outbreak of the War of Independence, she fled to Israel and survived with her stunning and sensual singing, her humor, and sharp wit. Years later, when Fayza was old and sick, her only daughter, Hannah, had to move her to a nursing home. Throughout a night of packing the house she grew up in, Hannah sings her mother's beautiful songs and confronts their shared life story.
