A hiking and excursion trip to Bohemian Switzerland will take place from October 11–17. Routes, boats, and thermal baths in the Czech Republic and Germany.
For those who think there is nothing left to surprise them in Europe, come with us to Bohemian Switzerland. Golden autumn among the bizarre mountains will leave no one indifferent. Based on our experience from previous trips, we are going in mid-October, at the height of the golden autumn.
The routes I have planned will be approximately 15–17 km per day, with the option of leaving halfway through. We also plan to take gondola rides on the river and visit the thermal baths.
Bohemian Switzerland is located on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. Bohemia is considered one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. The combination of bizarre rocks, rivers, and small towns in this area is stunning.
The trip is planned for 7 days. We will spend half the time on the Czech side of the mountains, near the Kamenice and Elbe rivers. The second part of the trip will take place on the German side, in Saxon Switzerland.
Departure and takeoff at 5:35, arrival in Prague at 8:45.
In the morning, we will rent cars and buy food. You can arrive in Prague by 13:00.
At 13:00, we will drive to the cabins on the Czech–German border.
Acclimatization day. In the morning, we will walk along a mountain river and go boating. After lunch, we will climb to the Falcon’s Nest castle.
A route through the famous Schrammsteine cliffs. The route is 15 km long; part of it will follow trails leading to via ferratas and rock-climbing routes. There will be an option to shorten the route.
A route through the famous Bastei Bridge cliffs. The route is 17 km long; part of it will follow trails leading to via ferratas and rock-climbing routes. The route will end at Hohnstein Castle. There will be an option to shorten the route.
A rest day. In the morning, we will take a short walk and go boating at Obere Schleuse.
After lunch, we will visit a German sauna.
A route to the famous Bloßstock rock formations. The route is 13–15 km long.
We will begin returning toward Prague. Along the way, we will walk through the parks and visit the castles of the city of Děčín.
We will fly back to Israel between approximately 9 and 11 p.m. (I booked a ticket for 23:45.)

If there are 12 or more participants, the trip will cost €800.
The price includes accommodation in cabins, transportation, and the purchase of food for all days of the trip. I plan for us to have breakfast in the cabins and prepare sandwiches for lunch. In the evening, we can decide whether to eat the food purchased for the cabins or go to a pub or restaurant at our own expense.
Anyone who purchases a plane ticket is automatically considered a participant in the trip.
