The Most Beautiful Movie Music in an Ancient Monastery - Candlelight Concert

We invite you to a special candlelit concert featuring incredible music from films. Experience the beauty of a string quintet in the setting of one of Israel's most beautiful monasteries. On the open terrace overlooking the sea, illuminated by hundreds of candles, the music that touches your heart will be performed.

You will hear the most romantic music from films such as "Titanic," "Harry Potter," "Dirty Dancing," "The Lion King," "Schindler's List," "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and many others. These melodies, familiar to everyone, were composed by the greatest composers of our time — Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Yann Tiersen, Justin Hurwitz — specifically for beloved films. It’s not about the number of Oscars and other awards.

When these notes are played, we are transported back into the magical world of characters and stories. To the incredible deck of the "Titanic." To the moment of Harry Potter's first flight on a broomstick. To the first meeting with little Simba. When played by a string quintet, this music sounds especially poignant, as if it comes to life in the flickering of hundreds of candles. The sea, candles, music — everything to stop time. Beauty that makes you want to dive in. And music that truly touches you.

The concert features musicians from the Rishon LeZion Orchestra (the Israel Opera Orchestra) and the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Please note: the concert takes place on an outdoor venue at an ancient monastery by the sea. It may be cool in the evening by the sea, so we recommend bringing a light wrap or something warm in case of chilly weather.

Also, please note that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.

Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City.
