Level 1:
Our courses, specially designed for beginners, will surprise you with rapid progress and the joy you will find in learning. Thanks to an experiential approach, you will naturally develop the four basic skills: speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing. The emphasis is on speaking right from the start, to help you build confidence in authentic situations.
By the end of the course, you will confidently be able to:
- Introduce yourself and meet new people
- Talk about hobbies
- Ask and answer simple questions
- Make reservations
- Read everyday texts (menus, signs, notices)
Level 2:
Who is the course for?
If you can speak simple French or have already taken a beginner's course, this course is perfect for you!
What's in the program?
Strengthening the foundation acquired in the beginners' course, conversations on everyday topics, communication in realistic situations (restaurant, travel...), use of tenses: past, present, and future, vocabulary expansion, emotional expression, exposure to texts, French songs, and movies.
By the end of the course, you will know how to:
- Participate in conversations on familiar topics
- Talk about yourself and your experiences
- Understand essential information
- Navigate easily in a French-speaking environment
- Communicate for practical needs
- Read instructions and write simple messages (emails, texts).
Level 3:
Do you already have a good foundation? Have you taken two courses with us or three courses elsewhere? Perhaps French is already part of your life (in the family or with a partner)? Level 3 is perfect for you! The course is conducted entirely in French:
- Advanced
- Express yourself
- Understand
- Speak live, natural, and practical French every day.
Level 4: New!!!
Are you already advancing and starting to express yourself in French but want to communicate more naturally and confidently? This course allows you to advance through accessible literary texts, French songs, and authentic materials, while discovering contemporary French culture, traditions, and lifestyles. Have you studied at least 90 hours of French? Do you have a good foundation that allows you to express yourself semi-independently? Level 4 is just right for you!
Course goals:
- Participate in simple conversations on familiar topics
- Talk about past events and express future plans
- Express opinions on everyday situations
- Enrich vocabulary and strengthen grammatical knowledge
- Express opinions simply and coherently.
About the instructor:
Yael Friedman, an experienced instructor and native French speaker, holds a degree from the Sorbonne and is very enthusiastic about French culture. Continuous support: The instructor will be available to help you between lessons, answer questions, and accompany you in your studies. Study material: Purchase of a French textbook will be required. Details will be provided in the first lesson. Join us on an exciting journey through the French language and culture!
All levels are conducted in a course format: 30 hours (15 lessons of two hours each) contingent upon minimum registrations. Participation is for ages 18 and up.

By public transport: Any line reaching the corner of HaMasger and HaRakevet streets, cross to Rosh Pina St. and turn onto HaGra St.
On foot or by bike: It is recommended to come via HaRakevet St., enter from Rosh Pina St. or Bnei Brak St., and turn onto HaGra St.
Nearby parking: Central Park parking lot on 58 HaRakevet St. (paid).
Blue-and-white parking – please pay attention to the street's starting sign instructions.
The workshop will be held in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines. The community center has a shelter if needed.
